The Gardener's Shadow, LLC.

A dear friend of mine owns a small business in the field of Promotional Products. We both enjoy a lot of the same things. These things are our wives, kids, fishing, relaxing, good cocktails and bad jokes. It seems as every conversation we have somehow comes back to the same subject….BUSINESS!! My friend Doug is in Promotional Products. I am in Landscape/ Irrigation. One might question what about our respective businesses are commonplace? The answer…Just about everything!!! Its simple: We both Do our jobs for a purpose (family and personal) We both deal with people (the good and the bad) We both want to do the right thing We both have NO IDEA what the RIGHT thing is… a lot of the time.

Doug informed me of something yesterday that I have thought a great deal about…. “Dont take yourself to seriously”. Since hearing that, i feel as if a big weight has beenlifted from my shoulders. Seeing as how The Gardener’s Shadow is providing a SERVICE, it is funny to step back and ponder what percentage of the world can afford A SERVICE, let alone killing weeds in thick, lush yard…. or turning on sprinklers that automatically turn on water (many dont have drinking water). I am going to make an attempt, starting today, at positioning myself relative to the rest of the world. Follow Life’s Little Instruction Book and simply DO THE RIGHT THING…. and quit worrying about the little things over which I have no control. It is far too easy to make yourself feel guilty about not pleasing everyone, when pleasing starts and ends under your roof. In the meantime I will continue to do what I say I will do. Do the very best I can at what I say I can do. Let the rest of the “cards” fall where they may. Have a good day (that is me talking to myself….
